A Russian center begins testing a new vaccine
The head of the Russian “Chumakov” Center, Aidar Ishmmadov, announced the clinical tests of a new vaccine against Covid 19, and said that the use of the new vaccine should begin next November after the end of its clinical tests.
He added, “We are continuing the clinical research for our vaccine, which began on October 6 in Novosibirsk. The tests there did not result in any unwanted phenomena. On October 19, we will start clinical tests for our vaccine in the cities of Petersburg and Kirov simultaneously.”

The chief scientist at the World Health Organization, Sumiya Swaminathan, announced, Thursday, that young and healthy people may have to wait until 2022 to obtain a vaccine against the emerging corona virus “Covid-19”.
Swaminathan confirmed that health workers and those most at risk due to the emerging corona virus will have priority in receiving the vaccine if it is ready, according to “Sky News”.
Swaminathan’s comments came at a time when experiments to produce an anti-Corona vaccine in several countries are still in full swing for months, amid mounting talk about priorities for getting the vaccine.

Two studies published on Wednesday showed that people with blood type O may be less likely to contract “Covid-19” or suffer from severe symptoms associated with the disease.
Danish researchers analyzed a sample of 7,422 people who had tested positive for the virus, and found that only 38% had blood type O, according to research published in the journal Blood Advances.
Meanwhile, 44% of people with blood type A were infected with the deadly virus.
In a second study, published in the same journal, Canadian researchers found that critically ill Covid-19 patients with blood types O or B had an average stay in the intensive care unit for a period of 9 days. In contrast, people with blood types A or AB stayed for 13.5 days.
Assess patients’ risk of gangrene and heart attacks
And Professor Yaakov Birkun announced that one of the complications of severe cases of “Covid-19” is blood clots in the veins and arteries, myocardial infarction or gangrene in the extremities, according to Russia Today.
Professor Birkon from the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem said, in an interview with the Russian Novosti news agency, “In principle, these are known phenomena, as the virus causes severe infections in some patients, which in turn increase the risk of blood clotting. Inflammation in itself is a risk factor for thrombosis.” It causes activation of platelets – responsible for blood clotting, and damages the blood vessels themselves, and since critically ill patients do not move, this contributes to the risk of blood clots.
