For those who have recovered from the corona, some pandemic-related restrictions are to be removed in the future. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the districts and independent cities send various documents that serve as evidence.
In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, too, certain corona restrictions for fully vaccinated and convalescent people are no longer applicable. Anyone who is vaccinated can simply prove their status with the vaccination card. But how do those who have recovered prove that they have already survived a corona infection?
No nationwide procedural requirements, several routes possible
In the state’s Corona regulation, there are no formal or procedural requirements for what such a certificate should look like. The State Office for Health and Social Affairs (LAGuS), however, has worked with the health authorities on a form template that can be used to provide evidence of recovery. However, such a form does not have general and sole validity. Other forms, certificates or findings from doctors, laboratories or health authorities must also be recognized, according to the LAGuS. The consumer advice center writes on its website that those who have recovered “need proof of a positive PCR test (or another nucleic acid test) that is at least 28 days and a maximum of six months ago, in paper or digital form”.
Vorpommern-Greifswald district sends proof of recovery
Which documents are sent to recovered persons differs from district to district or from urban district. In Western Pomerania-Greifswald, for example, everyone who has survived a Covid 19 infection receives a corresponding certificate from the district. These recovered certificates are currently being created retrospectively for the last six months. This happens automatically, they do not have to be requested separately. The evidence from November to mid-March has already been sent, according to the district.
In the future, the recovered certificates will be sent together with the quarantine certificate at the end of the quarantine. They are then valid for six months. The validity range begins on day 28 after the positive test. From this deadline, the evidence is valid and puts the recovered person on the same level as a person who has been vaccinated twice.
Quarantine orders are also used as evidence for those who have recovered
The rest of the circles regulate it in a very similar way, except that no explicit recovery certificates are issued here. The district of Rostock explains that only the personal quarantine order applies, which everyone who tested positive has received from the health department since the beginning of the pandemic. Following the surviving infection, this also serves as evidence of the recovered person. The quarantine order contains the necessary information about the positive PCR test: personal data of the person tested and the date of the test.
