Corona medicine for the vulnerable thanks to donors Inland

Sanquin is working on a corona remedy. “If you get such an ampoule with concentrated anti-corona substances very early in the disease process, it can have a powerful preventive effect.”

Amsterdam – Sanquin blood bank is on the trail of a potentially life-saving drug against corona for vulnerable people. A vial of antibodies from the blood of ex-corona patients can be infused as a preventive or just after infection with the virus to remain passively immune. “We just need a lot more donors,” says professor of infectious diseases and microbiology Hans Zaaijer.
