By Le Figaro with AFP

The campaign team for President Donald Trump’s re-election filmed a video launching SpaceX and showing astronauts, in apparent violation of NASA regulations, media reports said.

The advertising film, entitled “Make Space Great AgainPosted on Youtube, includes images from the Apollo program, SpaceX’s Crew Dragon program and Nasa astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley, according to the SpaceNews.com website. The video appears to have been removed from Youtube. NASA generally authorizes the use of images and videos in advertisements, but not its badges or photos of its astronauts. A petition on the Change.org site for “prevent Trump from politicizing the exploits of SpaceX and NASAHas collected some 6,000 signatures.

At Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Saturday, in the presence of President Trump, SpaceX became the first private company to launch astronauts into space, a historic success that offers the United States a new form of space transportation after nine years of ‘interruption. The United States has set itself the goal of sending a woman to the Moon in 2024 and a human to Mars in 2033.
