Mainz – On Sunday (July 30th) a very special one took place ZDF television garden-Output. The cult format not only started later because of the Women’s World Cup, but Andrea Kiewel (58) did not moderate the whole thing live. The Mallorca television garden was a recording, but kept its promise: Ballermann stars like Jürgen Milski (59) and Lorenz Büffel (44) were guests. When the latter performed his song “Maschine” and the children also celebrated, some TV viewers could only shake their heads.

After Andrea Kiewel had already provided dream ratings with her “summer party” in the ZDF television garden, the broadcaster wanted to add a Malle party. However, Ikke Hipgold (46) made headlines in advance because he criticized the ZDF television garden for censoring Mallorca hits. In fact, this time Andrea Kiewel and her guests came up trumps with questionable vocabulary and even songs that glorified alcohol consumption were performed undeterred.

Among others, Lorenz Büffel performed his song “Maschine” and sang lines like “Today I’m a machine, always a beer in gear, I can drink like a machine”. He walked through the audience in the ZDF television garden to create a mood and especially approached the children, who roared and celebrated with the musician.

There was outrage on Twitter after these scenes. “‘I can drink like a machine. Always beers in gear.’ The kids in the audience are about to be brought up ‘right’,” tweeted one horrified viewer. Another also remarked ironically: “It’s especially nice when children in disguise are already singing along to drinking songs at the top of their lungs.” A Twitter user could hardly believe that alcohol consumption was glorified in this way by Lorenz Büffel: “He sings about a serious addiction. Oof!”
