The song has become a kind of manifesto.

Croatian musical group Let 3 is a controversial and provocative rock band that has been popular in the music industry for over 30 years. This year they boldly performed at the Eurovision Song Contest under the flag of Croatia, made it to the final and made a splash there with their grandiose performance.

It is worth saying that even in the semi-final it was clear that with such a powerful anti-war manifesto the team would go to the final of the competition, and there the performers would fight for the statuette. However, Let 3 did not even make it into the top ten – according to the results of the competition, the team took 13th place.

However, the Croatian rockers are still remembered by the European audience. The team appeared on stage in extravagant raincoats, which were then removed, remaining in one underwear. Their short and provocative outfits were complemented by bright makeup and heels. And one of the team members dressed up as a villain and held two large rockets in his hands, which later began to sparkle with fireworks.

Let 3 performed in the final with the song “Mama ŠČ!”. In addition to their musical value, the musicians express their opposition to the war by dedicating this composition to the anti-war theme. The song was written with reference to a “mean psychopath” whose personality is well known to everyone. The track alludes to the leadership of Russia* and Belarus, in lines about the “tractor”, and makes fun of Putin’s actions regarding Ukraine.

Previously, Cursor informed that Noa Kirel took third place in the Eurovision final. 22-year-old Kirel scored 362 points – 177 from the jury and 185 from televoting. Israel received the highest marks from the jury of Italy, Azerbaijan, France, Armenia and Poland and came in second place according to the results of the jury voting. Among the spectators, Israel finished fifth overall.

We remind you that a joint video with Noa Kirel and Netta Barzilai at Eurovision has become viral on the network. Noah Kirell, Israel’s Eurovision 2023 representative, and Netta Barzilai, Israel’s 2018 winner, have remixed their songs “Unicorn” and “Toy”.

* – until the complete denazification of the Russian Federation, the editors of the Cursor refuse to show respect for the occupiers and murderers and will write some proper names exclusively and fundamentally with a small letter. No war!
