Contra: Operation Galuga, the action-packed game on the Nintendo Switch, debuts today, and fans can expect an upcoming patch update in response to valuable feedback received from the demo version.

While other platforms will receive the update on March 12, the Switch version will have its patch applied as soon as preparations are completed, as announced by the official Contra social media account. This update, also referred to as the “post release” patch, brings bug fixes, input optimization, and visibility improvements to enrich the gaming experience. Below are the official details:

PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam – The update will be applied at the time of the game’s release on March 12 (Tuesday).

Nintendo Switch – We will apply the update as soon as preparations have completed. We will notify once again when the update is ready. Thank you for your support and we hope you enjoy Contra: Operation Galuga! #ContraOG

In our review of Contra: Operation Galuga here on Nintendo Life, we found it to be an exciting addition to the series. However, we cannot overlook some setbacks in the Switch version, such as frame rate issues and other minor problems.
