PALEMBANG, KOMPAS.com – Joni alias Usman (46), a resident of Mariana Ilir Village, Banyuasin I District, Banyuasin District, was arrested by the ranks of the South Sumatra Regional Police Unit in South Sumatra due to involvement in a luxury car robbery against Surati (37).

Usman said that the robbery was orchestrated by his colleague RS, who is now a fugitive from officers.

According to Usman, he was initially contacted by the hospital to rob luxury cars in the mode of being a police officer.

Then, two days before the incident, the hospital invited Usman to his residence to go around looking for a victim by motorcycle.

“We traveled from Soekarno Hatta (Palembang) to Betung, Banyuasin,” Usman said at the South Sumatra Regional Police, Wednesday (1/7/2020).

Right on Tuesday (6/30/2020) at 11:30 a.m., the two suspects saw Surati victims passing by alone driving a white Pajero Sport Dakar luxury car in the area of ​​Jalan Soekarno Hatta, Palembang.

Confess to the police

There they both immediately chased the victim by riding a motorcycle.

“Ma’am, Ma’am, we are the police,” Usman said, imitating what the hospital said during the action.

When the victim lowered the windshield, Usman said that in Surati’s vehicle there was a drug that had to be examined.

Surati who was confused immediately opened the door and was handcuffed by Usman.

“We pretended to check the car, the victim at the time I was handcuffed,” he said.

Victims who are already in the condition of handcuffs are ordered by the hospital to sit in the back. Then, the perpetrators immediately took him to the Irrigation area. Meanwhile, the Usman perpetrators accompanied the hospital from behind by using a motorcycle.

“Then our victims were sent down by the roadside. Mother, waiting here, a police officer will pick up the car. The car will be taken directly to the hospital, I will bring a motorcycle,” he said.
