From “Around the Mediterranean” in Zwettl to “Together” in Wiener Neustadt

St. Pölten (OTS) Tomorrow, Wednesday, February 7th, the Dornbirn Youth Symphony Orchestra under Ivo Warenitsch and Matthias Seewald will perform a program “Around the Mediterranean” in the town hall of Zwettl. Compositions by Jacques Offenbach, Niccolò Paganini, Marcel Khalifé, Jules Massenet, Rexho Mulliqi and Mikis Theodorakis can be heard from 7.30 p.m. Further information and maps at 0676/3073163, e-mail [email protected] and www.jeunesse.at.

On Friday, February 9th, the suburban violinists from St. Valentin and the ¾ musicians from the Waldviertel will play at the “Taunzerei” in the Haus der Regions in Krems/Stein from 7:30 p.m. The children of the Wachau traditional costume and local history association Krems/Stein, the senior folk dance group Langschlag and the Schuhplattler group Konradsheim contribute dance performances. On Saturday, February 10th, the final concert of this year’s Baden “voice academy”, the master classes for singing specializing in classical vocal repertoire from opera, operetta, song and oratorio, will take place in the Haus der Kunst in Baden from 7 p.m. Tickets at Beethovenhaus Baden on 02252/86800-630 and e-mail [email protected]; more information at www.martinvacha.com.

Also on Saturday, February 10th, the Camerata Carnuntum under Leo Wittner will be giving a carnival concert with waltzes, polkas, swing and pop music at the Wittnerhof in Gramatneusiedl from 7 p.m. There will be another appointment on Sunday, February 11th from 5 p.m. in Officepark 4 at Vienna/Schwechat Airport. On Sunday, February 11th, like every leap year, D’Raschalaer Köllamauna invite you to the “Mozart-Pinkelsteinfest” in the Pinkelsteiner Kellergasse, where from 2 p.m. under the motto “Pinkel bang instead of an opera ball!”, among others, the Stadtmusik Hollabrunn, the Trachtenkapelle Guntersdorf and Bernadette Tuzar can be heard. Finally, Erika Pluhar and Adi Hirschal, accompanied by Roland Guggenbichler on the piano, sing and read Viennese things on Tuesday, February 13th, under the title “Together” in the casemates of Wiener Neustadt.
