European Lebanese Medical Association Honors Young Lebanese Doctors Passing Knowledge Test in Paris Event

The European Lebanese Medical Association honored the young Lebanese doctors who passed the knowledge test, which is the exam conducted by the French authorities to allow foreign medical students to begin practicing the profession fully and recognized.

This came as part of an introduction meeting at the beginning of the year organized by the association in Paris for its members in the presence of the head of the Beirut Medical Syndicate, Professor Youssef Bakhash, who stressed in a speech he delivered during the meeting the necessity of maintaining Lebanon’s leading role as the doctor of the East, and the importance of Lebanon’s young doctors abroad remaining in contact with their motherland. Who is in constant need of their expertise.

Bakhash also pointed out that we, as doctors, have to work together and need each other to serve the patient, noting that “you have other scientific roles, and Lebanon needs the things you learn to transfer your experiences to.” He added: “There is a positive thing that many of the doctors who left Lebanon, 30 to 40% of them returned to it,” pointing out that “if the banking sector collapsed, the health sector is still standing,” stressing that “and in Lebanon we have the ability to perform various surgeries.” But the problem is how to cover the cost of this treatment, especially since many Lebanese do not have the ability to enter hospitals.”

There was also a speech by the President of the Association, Dr. Elie Haddad, during which he stressed the importance of the Lebanese medical body coming together in Europe and in France in particular, and the importance of solidarity and maintaining bridges of communication with the motherland, Lebanon, pointing out that “the Association plays a humanitarian role by supporting some government hospitals in coordination with the Ministry of Health.” Health,” Dr. Haddad also reminded of the scientific role that the Society is focusing on, as it will hold its second medical conference next April 13 in Paris under the title “War Medicine – Crisis Medicine.”

Dr. wished. Haddad congratulated the young colleagues, putting the association’s capabilities at their disposal, reminding them, “We are the branches of a lush cedar abroad, but with deep roots in Lebanon, which is the slogan of the European Lebanese Medical Association.”

Then, Dr. Elsa Muhanna and Dr. Maria Christina Kassab, from the Board of Directors of the European Lebanese Medical Association, spoke about the role of youth and the importance of their communication in order to maintain the link with the roots that gave them life, and about the importance of the association’s role in this field to maintain communication through the association’s youth committee. .

In conclusion, each young doctor who passed the exam received a symbolic gift representing a model of a green Lebanese cedar, which lives with them in their daily lives and symbolizes the association’s logo. Also, at the end of the ceremony, Dr. Haddad, on behalf of the European Lebanese Association, presented to Professor Bakhash a model of the same cedar with a word of thanks engraved on it. In appreciation for all the efforts he makes in serving the medical sector in Lebanon.
