The test carried out this Saturday and Sunday consists of carrying out a series of tests on general theoretical knowledge, languages, spelling, psychotechnical knowledge and grammar.

Competitors who obtain sufficient scores in this knowledge test will be called for the physical tests: a coordination and agility circuit – new this year -, an endurance test (2 kilometer distance race), a strength test consisting of performing a certain number of push-ups depending on sex and a 50-meter swimming test.

Those who pass these last tests will undergo a personal interview to evaluate their mental suitability for the job they are applying for and finally a medical examination to assess their state of health and physical fitness.

Applicants who complete the competition will join the Academy of Guards in Baeza (Jaén) and the College of Young Guards ‘Duque de Ahumada’ in Valdemoro (Madrid), where they will receive their professional training during an academic year.
