Clubhouse it is already available all over the world, it’s just that it’s still limited to iPhone and iPad users. Twitter is taking it one step further by releasing it soon Spaces globally for iOS and Android.
“It will soon be available to all users globally,” said a spokesman Twitter during a discussion session at Spaces, Friday (5/3/2021).
He explained that so far Twitter has become a public chat place and helps many people to connect with the things that are happening around them. Now they want to try to re-develop public conversation using human voices.
The formula developed gave birth to Spaces. Allows people to chat with each other anything, from small talk about an interest in something to a broader discussion in a question and answer session. The presence of this new platform is also expected to reduce misunderstandings that often occur when replying to tweets.
“Spaces are expected to be a comfortable and healthy place for people to chat,” said a spokesperson Twitter.
In this discussion, he touched on testing Spaces on Android. A Twitter spokesperson confirmed that it was trying to become an equal platform, so they will immediately test the Android version after iOS.
“We have amazing Android engineers, they have worked hard to make Spaces available to all users,” he said.
It was also revealed that a number of new features are still in the works, ranging from a transcript feature, a discovery function to view a list of Space sessions, to keeping chats in Spaces healthy.
“All new features will be tested on users so that we can get the best feedback,” said a spokesperson Twitter.
