Comparison of specifications and prices for Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro, which one to choose?

Xiaomi officially launched Xiaomi 12 series in Indonesia which is present in two models, namely the Xiaomi 12 “regular” and the Xiaomi 12 Pro.

The two smartphones have different specifications, both from the aspect of the screen, camera, to battery capacity.

Screen, Chipset and RAM

Xiaomi 12 looks slimmer with a 6.28-inch screen. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 12 Pro carries a larger 6.73-inch screen. The regular version of the Xiaomi 12 carries a Full HD + (2400 x 1080) screen resolution. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 12 Pro offers a WQHD+ (3200 x 1440) resolution. Both Xiaomi 12 series screens have a Gorilla Glass Victus screen protector.

Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro carry the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset with 4 nm fabrication and an octa-core CPU that offers speeds of up to 3.0 GHz. In addition, the chip is also paired with the Adreno 730 GPU to process the graphics displayed on the cellphone screen. The difference is, the Xiaomi 12 Pro carries 12 GB of RAM. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 12 has 8GB of RAM. Both cellphones use 256 GB of storage media.

Camera

Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro both carry three rear cameras with a main camera resolution of 50 MP. However, the main camera sensor configuration is made differently. The main camera of the Xiaomi 12 Pro uses a Sony IMX707 sensor, while the Xiaomi 12 uses a Sony IMX766 sensor.

In addition, the Xiaomi 12 Pro carries a 50 MP wide (f/1.9) main camera, 50 MP ultra wide (f/2.2) with a field of view of up to 115 degrees, and a 50 MP telephoto (f/1.9).
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 12 has a 50 MP (f/1.88) wide main camera, a 13 MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide camera with a 123-degree field of view, and a 5 MP telemacro. The two Xiaomi cellphones both carry a 32 MP selfie camera.

Battery

Xiaomi 12 offers a 4,500 mAh battery with 67 watt fast charging support. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 12 Pro has a 4,600 mAh battery with 120 watts of fast charging. Both are also equipped with support for fast wireless charging technology (wireless) up to 50 watts.

Price

The price of the Xiaomi 12 (8/256 GB) is priced at Rp. 9,999,000. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 12 Pro (12/256 GB) is sold for Rp. 12,999,000. Both can be ordered in Indonesia until April 13 on the official Xiaomi Indonesia website and the company’s marketplace partners.
