Companies are asked to complete eligible employee data for assistance of IDR 600,000 per month

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Director of the Social Security Administration (BPJS) Agus Susanto asked the company to immediately complete the data employees.

Thus, private employees who are paid less than Rp. 5 million can get help a wage subsidy of Rp. 600,000 per month from the government for four months.

“Currently BP Social Security has combed the data by name by addres, active participants as of June 30 are 15.7 million people. However, the data does not yet have an account number, “said Agus in a press statement on the Presidential Secretariat YouTube channel, Monday (10/8/2020).

“Therefore, since Saturday we have informed the company to complete the account number of workers whose salary or wages are below Rp. 5 million as reported. BPJS of Employment, “he said.

He said this moment must make the company more orderly in fulfilling the rights of its employees.

For that, he also asked companies that had not registered their employees to BPJS Ketenegakagakerjaan to immediately take care of them.

“And I urge to validate whether the employee’s salary is really below Rp. 5 million. The active role of all parties, both employers, society, and workers, we need this assistance to be right on target,” he said.

Previously, the Chief Executive of the Committee for Handling Covid-19 and National Economic Recovery Erick Thohir said this stimulus program was being finalized so that it could be implemented by the Ministry of Manpower in September 2020.

“( Help) will be given every two months to the account of each worker so that there will be no abuse, ”said Erick.

He said the focus of this government assistance was 13.8 million non-PNS and BUMN workers who were actively registered with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan with contributions below IDR 150,000 per month or equivalent to salaries below IDR 5 million per month.

The BUMN Minister said that the aim of the government to provide additional salary assistance was to encourage public consumption in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
