The referendum’s latest election debate ended with a dispute over corruption. Arman Babikyan from “Stand up. BG! We are coming!” handed fake gold and euro bars to Toma Bikov from GERB, and Hamid Hamid again did not fail to defend Delyan Peevski.
It all started with a statement by Hamid, who said that Delyan Peevski was the leader of the lists of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms in Veliko Tarnovo and Blagoevgrad, because the voters wanted him. “People want Peevski on the lists because he makes real politics and helps people,” he said.
Atanas Slavov of Democratic Bulgaria said the candidacy was “political cynicism” and Arman Babikyan said Peevski was “just a symbol”. In his words, “the mafia has many faces and many names.”
Saying this, he handed counterfeit gold bars and euro banknotes to Toma Bikov from GERB. It happens a few hours after new photos were sent to the media from the former prime minister’s bedroom, showing the drawer full of money again.
Bikov described the act as “show” and “stupidity” and, in the manner of his party leader, tried to focus on the number of coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours.
Will there be a government?
“We saw a full nightstand, but empty funds,” Atanas Slavov commented. He said corruption models must end.
Slavov explained that a guarantee for final and long-term change is the participation of the DB in the next government.
Toma Bikov commented that the only thing the DB did was to fail two parliaments. According to him, there will be a cabinet only if Rumen Radev loses the presidential election.
Arman Babikyan commented that the issue is not just to have a cabinet, but also to have a cabinet that makes changes: “A cabinet that works to keep us from living like we do now.” According to him, otherwise there is no sense at all in the elections. “A government without our 12-13-14 deputies cannot be formed,” he said.
Hamid, on the other hand, believes that if a cabinet is not formed again, it will be catastrophic. “We will not allow those parties that loudly promise to form a government to fail parliament this time,” he promised.
Dragomir Stoynev of the BSP accused ITN, DB and IBGNI of not forming a government because of them.
Slavov countered that the BSP twice won a mandate, and both times failed to form a cabinet.
About the coronary crisis
Babikyan said the lockdown should have been introduced much earlier. According to him, it is a good decision that from today the test for antibodies will be recognized for the issuance of a green certificate. “Vaccination, vaccination and vaccination are needed,” he said.
