Würzburg. The Adolph Kolping School in Würzburg now officially bears the title “School without Racism – School with Courage”. That means working for a different, better, colorful world, said Stefan Bothe, Managing Director of Kolping-Mainfranken, when handing over the symbolic signs, which took place in the smallest circle due to the corona. “A world in which people courageously stand up for the rights of minorities is a better world.”

Project sponsor Dr. In his welcoming address, Josef Schuster, President of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, encouraged the teenagers to fight with all means to ensure that people who want to exclude and divide do not gain an inch of ground. There should be no place for hatred in the Adolph Kolping School. It is particularly important to pay attention to this in the current times of crisis, especially in historically difficult phases it is easy and all too often that people who look different or have a different religion are excluded.
Everyone, regardless of their cultural or social background, has the right to be treated fairly. “Racism begins with contempt, contempt and disparagement,” explained school sponsor Wolfgang Schäflein, long-time psychologist at the day care center integrated into the school.
He encouraged the students to show zero tolerance against racism, no matter how harmless it might seem.
