The mayor of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv Vitali Klitschko said that after May 8-9, residents of the city, who left because of Russia’s military actions, may begin to return. He said this on the air of Radio HB.
“I advise the people of Kyiv not to rush back to Kyiv, given the danger. The aggressor’s goal was and remains the capital.

The military says most of these areas remain dangerous. We still cannot guarantee security, but after May 8-9 it will be possible to gradually return to the capital, “he said.
The mayor reminded that on May 8-9 the curfew in the city will be the same – from 22:00 to 5:00. According to his estimates, there are about 2.2 million people in the city today, and about 3.5 million lived by February 24. “During the battles for Kyiv, the city had about a million inhabitants,” Klitschko said.
