Vivo announced a new standout mid-ranger this week. The Vivo V23 and V23 Pro have a housing that changes color in direct sunlight. Vivo has also paid attention to the cameras of the smartphones.
The Vivo V23 Pro has a back with so-called ‘Fluorite AG technology’. This technique ensures that the gold housing turns blue-green after 30 seconds in direct sunlight. When you go inside, the color of the case changes back to gold.
The Vivo V23 Pro is equipped with a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor that is also available in the OnePlus Nord 2 can be found, 8GB or 12GB RAM, 128GB or 256GB storage space, a 4300 mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging, an in-display fingerprint scanner and a double selfie camera with a 50MP wide-angle lens and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. On the back we find a triple rear camera with a 108MP main lens, an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens.
The regular Vivo V23 features a slightly smaller 6.44-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen (90Hz), a MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor, a 4200 mAh battery and a 64MP main lens instead of a 108MP lens.
The Vivo V23 and V23 Pro are currently only available in Asia for a suggested retail price of around $400 (V23) and $600 (V23 Pro). In a few months we expect the smartphone also in Europe, but we do not have European prices and release dates yet.
