For a few weeks now, the Colomiers Migrant Platform has been collecting food and basic necessities, which are then shared between the Colomiers Secours Populaire Committee and the Toulouse Solidarity Boutique: two associations that help the most disadvantaged, including the number increased considerably with the Covid 19 crisis.
Two essential links complete this chain of solidarity: for collection, the Parish of Colomiers provides one of the rooms overlooking the vehicle passage located on the edge of the Parish Center building (85, Rue Gilet). Finally, the vehicle (and the driver) of the Colomiers Jumelage et Support association deliver the collected products.
From Tuesday 19 May, the collection will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The main needs concern food (pasta, rice, tomato paste, salt, bread, cakes, vegetables, garlic and onions), hygiene (baby diapers, sanitary napkins, toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper, handkerchiefs) , cleaning (bleach, sponges), and care (paracetamol, magnesium). Donations of money or clothing are not accepted.
