An anti-Semitic propaganda flyer causes a stir in Cologne. A photo of a leaflet that is said to have been displayed on a Cologne tram was distributed on Twitter. But it is still unclear whether that was really the case.
Cologne – A leaflet with anti-Semitic agitation causes a stir in Cologne. This is supposed to be in a light rail KVB Cologne transport companies* have laid out. On February 10, a Cologne user outraged distributed a photo of the flyer on the short message platform Twitter. The post was shared over 600 times, and the community was very upset. “Such disgusting actions must be countered with determination. We all have a responsibility to pay attention. Every day! Don’t look away, don’t listen, no tolerance! ”Commented one user, for example. Also the Lord Mayor of Cologne Henriette Reker* commented on this on Twitter: “A particularly disgusting example that anti-Semitism lives on in the minds of a dangerous minority. Anyone who thinks that way has lost anything in Cologne or anywhere else in our society, ”said Reker.
But it is still unclear when and where the leaflet was distributed – and who even took the photo of the inflammatory pamphlet. Research by 24RHEIN* showed that both the Cologne police and the KVB have known the picture for months. “Our employees did not see the message,” said KVB spokesman Michael Pesch. The State Security also investigates in Cologne*, but so far without any results.
