“Barcelona always looks to the sea, but, behind it, the beautiful hills of Collserola protect us”, explains the author of the snapshot, “with the clouds offering a battle against the sun, they show a palette of multiple and beautiful colors”.
As we can see in this image, the sunlight escapes between the limits of the cloud thus creating a beautiful print with blue and mauve colors.
However, when a cloud has a large vertical development, the same cloud becomes a shadow. In that case, the sunlight is unable to reach the bottom of the cloud.
In other circumstances, when the cloud is a thunderstorm, it has a high density of particles. For this reason, it darkens.
When a cloud is black it has nothing to do with its content, but because the sunlight does not reach it.
“Barcelona, despite everything, is still beautiful,” says Gabriel Masfurroll.
The Collserola mountain range or Collserola massif is a mountainous area and peri-urban park that acts as a great green lung in the Barcelona area.
