CNDP-CDAI-EGE: Signature of a regulatory agreement for ethical use of technologies

A REUT convention (regulations for ethical use of technologies) was signed on Tuesday in Rabat between the National Commission for the Control of the Protection of Personal Data (CNDP), the Commission for the Right of Access to Information ( CDAI) and the EGE (Economic Warfare School-Rabat Campus).

Initialed by the president of the CNDP and the CDAI, Omar Seghrouchni and the representative of the EGE Rabat, Ali Moutaib, this convention aims to support the educational environment, through the training of publishers and their awareness on the issue of respect for personal data.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Seghrouchni indicated, in a statement to MAP, that this agreement concluded with a reference establishment in the field of economic intelligence and regulations for ethical use of technologies aims to encourage and explain the risks of unethical uses of technologies, particularly with regard to “deepfakes” and “fake news”.

“We want to work with the EGE to provide explanations to their trainees and students on the mechanisms likely to favor the emergence of “deep fakes” and “fakenews”, and to look together at the methodology and approach to adopt to reduce their negative impact, he added.

It is also about the fight against disinformation and the protection of data for good governance, he added.

The CNDP was created under Law No. 09-08 of February 18, 2009 relating to the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data. It is responsible for verifying that the processing of personal data is lawful, legal and does not infringe on privacy, fundamental human rights and freedoms.

Created under Law No. 31.13, the CDAI aims in particular to ensure the proper exercise of the right of access to information and to issue recommendations and proposals in order to improve the quality of access procedures. access to information.

The EGE of Rabat, the first international branch of the School, aims to equip African decision-makers with a method of analysis, information management and influence which will allow them to think differently and face economic challenges. , current strategic and security.
