Club Brugge already hijacked Tajon Buchanan in front of several interested clubs last summer, but the Canadian attacker still finished the season in the MLS.
During an internship in Marbella, the new Bruges whirlwind gets to know his employer. “I’m very happy to finally be here. I’m ready to get started,” said Buchanan, who has ventured into the slogan “Bluvn goan”.
“The internship is wonderful. I can build a bond with the team. I feel welcome here. Noa Lang is a top guy.”
“I’m a quiet guy myself and I like to be on my own, but when I’m feeling good, I become more exuberant.”

The first acquaintance with coach Alfred Schreuder – also a newcomer – goes well. “He knows what he is talking about and knows how to play. Hopefully I will learn a lot from him.”
When Buchanan has to characterize himself, he clearly pushes the “explosive” trait to the fore. “I like to make a difference, one against one. I will keep trying, without fear.”
Buchanan notes a “family feeling” at Club and recalls Club’s “superb performance” against Real Madrid, his idol’s former employer.
“Cristiano Ronaldo has been my favorite player since I was a kid. I love his way of playing and working. I take that as an example,” said the Canadian, whose cop-out celebration after a goal is apparently a family trait.
