The French government has taken measures to prevent the spread of the corona virus. All football matches will be finished behind closed doors until 15 April.
That announcement was made on Monday by sports minister Roxana Maracineanu. The stadiums will not be completely empty, because a thousand people are welcome per match.
Soccer duels
The measure therefore affects all duels in the Ligue 1, the highest French football division. The return in the eighth finals of the Champions League between Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund, in Paris on Wednesday, is also affected by the measure. Dortmund won the first game 2-1.
The duel of the Orange Women against France in the battle for Tournoi de France will also be played without an audience. The matches from the Ligue 2 and international matches of the French national team are only accessible to a maximum of a thousand people.
In the match between Valencia and Atalanta Bergamo – Tuesday in Spain – no public is welcome either. At Leipzig-Tottenham Hotspur (Tuesday) and Liverpool-Atletico Madrid for the time being.
