As of Tuesday, the city of Linz will suspend its tick vaccination campaign, which has already started, for an indefinite period due to the corona epidemic.
Linz. “In the interest of security for all citizens, we decided to take this step,” Mayor Klaus Luger (SPÖ) said in a press release Monday afternoon.
The aim of this measure, however, is not only to avoid a risk of infection, but to use the medical staff in the first place for the surveys on corona. TBE vaccinations are generally possible at the family doctor, emphasized Luger and City Councilor Michael Raml (FPÖ). Two people are currently suffering from the corona virus in Linz. It was known to infected people from a coach group that was in South Tyrol from February 23 to 29.
