A ground lease agreement is being concluded between the city of Werder (Havel) and the Potsdam-Mittelmark district sports association for the construction of a “House of Sports” in the vicinity of the “Haus am See” family center. A corresponding resolution was passed in the city council meeting on Thursday evening.
The house will be used as a sports, health and education center. The resulting sports area should also be available to the population and local clubs for courses. There will also be an administration room for the district sports association as well as an information and lounge room with a kitchenette.
The tennis and fishing clubs, the city sports association, the Neu-Plötzin bowling club, the Werder volleyball club and the family center with youth club are already located on the site in question.
