JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan (Cisumdawu) Toll Road Section 4 to Section 6 (Cimalaka to Dawuan) with a length of 29.3 km is ready to be operational for the 2023 Eid homecoming flow.
Previously, in December 2022, sections 1 – 3 of the Cisumdawu toll road from Cileunyi to Cimalaka with a length of 32.5 km were officially operational.
Thus, currently the Cisumdawu toll road has been fully connected for 62 km, starting from the Cipularang toll road to the Cipali toll road.

“Structurally all Sections 4 to 6 of the Cisumdawu Toll Road have been completed. Today the focus is on tidying up, including installing the signs,” said PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono while reviewing the Cisumdawu Toll Road, Saturday (15/4/2023).
Minister Basuki said there were three things that determined the smoothness of homecoming, namely the readiness of infrastructure, traffic management, and driver behavior.

The condition of the Cisumdawu Toll Road where sections 4 to 6 will be functional during the 2023 Eid homecoming period.
“In terms of infrastructure, I convey that the Cisumdawu Toll Road is ready to be used functionally. From Cimalaka to Dawuan two lanes will be opened free of charge for the 2023 Eid homecoming,” said Minister Basuki.
The Cisumdawu Toll Road which will be opened functional in order to support the 2023 Eid homecoming flow consists of Section 4 Cimalaka-Legok (8.2 Km), Section 5 Legok-Ujung Jaya (14.9 Km), and Section 6 Ujung Jaya-Dawuan including Junction Dawuan (6.1 Km).

The Ministry of PUPR and BUJT have also prepared a temporary rest area at KM 194+400 Section 4B to support homecoming flows.
“Because there has not been a rest area built in Cisumdawu, we will use one lane for a temporary rest area. It can accommodate around 200 vehicles, is equipped with toilet facilities, gas stations and mini markets,” explained Minister Basuki.
For the regulation of functional toll road traffic, Minister Basuki said he would fully follow the directions of the National Police Traffic Corps.
“Will the Cisumdawu toll road be implemented contraflow, one way, or open and close everything following the direction of the National Police Traffic Corps,” he explained.
However, he said, the implementation of traffic engineering must take into account the traffic conditions on the Cipularang toll road and the Cipali toll road, so that there is no buildup of vehicles due to the addition of two lanes in Cisumdawu.
Also present accompanying Minister Basuki, Director General of Highways Hedy Rahadian, Expert Staff to the Minister for Technology, Industry and Environment Endra S. Atmawidjaja, Director of the Budi Harimawan Semihardjo Freeway.
Then Secretary of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Triono Junoasmono, Head of DKI Jakarta-West Java National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN) Wilan Oktavian, and Head of Public Communications Bureau of the PUPR Ministry Pantja Dharma Oetojo.
