JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – There are chain messages circulating on social media that one policeman is on duty at Samsat Kebon Nanas, Jatinegara, East Jakarta reportedly passed away with a positive status Covid-19.

Responding to this, the Director of Traffic for Polda Metro Jaya, Senior Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, confirmed that some of his members died some time ago.
“The deceased had pneumonia, but was buried with the Covid-19 exposure procedure for the safety and health of his family and mourners,” said Sambodo when contacted in Jakarta, Tuesday (18/8/2020).
The policeman died on August 16, 2020. The deceased underwent a swab test on August 10 and the results were negative for Covid-19.
When he died, the officer returned to carry out a swab test. However, the results are not yet known.
“When he died, a swab was carried out, but the results were not out yet,” said Sambodo.
He hoped that the results of the last swab would be negative. Even if it is positive, it has not been able to determine the next steps to be taken.
“Later, we will discuss it with the Samsat advisory team, because in Samsat apart from the police there are Bapenda, Jasa Raharja, Bank DKI and others,” said Sambodo.
