Chris Pratt announces sequel information for ‘Super Mario Bros’ movie in the works

The American game media Video Chronicle reported on the 10th that Chris Pratt, the main character Mario voice actor in the movie ‘Super Mario Bros’, announced that information on the sequel to Mario would be released soon.

According to foreign media, Chris Pratt said in an interview with ET Online, “We are in the middle of a Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike. Right now, everything is on hold and put on hold for the right reasons.”

He continued, “I think we will be able to release information about the sequel soon,” but “I support WGA and our writers, and once the negotiations are over and the writers move forward in a comfortable state, we can talk about the next step.” added.

Previously, the WGA went on a massive strike with 11,500 union members. It has been 16 years since they went on strike in 2007 claiming the distribution of internet download revenue.

WGA is demanding treatment of streaming platforms such as Netflix and Walt Disney, improvement of working conditions, and restrictions on the use of artificial intelligence (AI).

Super Mario Bros. is a film adaptation of the ‘Super Mario’ series of video games released by Nintendo since 1985. It was a collaboration with American animation studio Illumination, Nintendo and Universal, and was directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jerenik.
