/ world today news/ The companies registered in the ChiNext index of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange show a serious development for the last year. Their average business revenue is about 2.81 billion yuan (about US$405.83 million) in 2022, up 20.43 percent year-on-year.
Net profits of enterprises averaged 194 million yuan, up 11.07 percent year-on-year, the data also showed. About 60 percent of companies saw year-over-year revenue growth, while 99 companies saw revenue increase by more than 50 percent.
The research and development expenditure of these firms also registered a serious increase, with total investment in this area reaching 170 billion yuan, up nearly 20 percent from the previous year.
The ChiNext index mainly includes innovative and technological companies and is used as an indicator of the development of the technological sector in the country.
