Besides Ukraineinvasion Russia it also claimed other important victims. Chinese state media, Global Times, revealed the victim in its coverage.
“Europe is an important victim of the Ukraine crisis,” Wang Yiwei, director of the Institute for International Relations at Renmin University, China, told Global Times.
Wang then explained that Europe was a victim because the rain of Western sanctions on Russia also affected the Blue Continent.

European countries themselves have collectively and independently imposed sanctions on Russia, one of which is at the insistence of the United States.
According to Wang, the mass sanctions imposed by the West against Russia are like a double-edged sword.
“The risk of inflation, even an economic recession, stagflation, is now looming over the world economy,” he said.
Wang made these latest comments as the European Union prepares to announce its seventh package of sanctions against Russia.
Cui Hongjin, director of the European Studies Department at the Chinese Institute of International Studies, predicts that the latest series of sanctions will only be symbolic, or will not hit Russia too much.
According to him, the European Union is now starting to split. Some members that have already taken steps to reduce dependence on Russia’s energy support stronger sanctions.
Meanwhile, other members who are still dependent on Russian energy supplies are reluctant to impose tougher sanctions.
Elsewhere in the world, the US is not so badly affected because they are not so dependent on energy and trade with Russia. Wang said at this time, European countries began to feel cheated by the US.
“European countries are starting to question whether they were duped by the US,” Wang told Global Times.
