China wants to buy additional supplies of Russian oil. As Bloomberg describes, the raw material obtained from Russia would be used to fill strategic reserves. Negotiations are conducted at the government level with little involvement of the oil companies.

China wants to buy cheap oil from Russia
This seems to be confirmed by the reports of Russia’s deputy prime minister Alexander Nowak, who on Thursday said that his country has willing buyers for oil that Europe does not want. As he argued, Russia may sell the raw material, incl. to Asia. Apart from China, also India, for example, buys the Russian raw material.
