Chileans develop a product that helps agriculture based on fossilized algae | Special

In line with advances in the organic field, Power Of Nature, a group of Chileans, is developing diatoms, which are organic and natural fertilizer algae as well as sustainable for agriculture.

Another benefit is its reflective property, which make them a good protection against the sun and high temperatures in this productive activity.

If a little diatomaceous earth is sprayed on a plant, the product will create a thin layer that will protect it of sunlight.

“Actually we are sponsored by the Ministry of the Environment in a project that involves the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the process of fertilization and amendment of agricultural land, benefiting small farmers with the option of carbon credits that minimize their costs, helping the planet to recover ”, he told through a statement Diego Vega, CEO of Diatoms.

“Diatoms produce soil sanitation, enhance the growth process of plants helping them to be stronger and with better fruits. In addition, they have been included in the list of products authorized for organic production in Chile as an amendment fertilizer in the world of agriculture ”, he added.

Chilean entrepreneurship is part of the international Foundation “1% For The Planet” for the creation, with part of its profits, of educational means and promotion of self-sustaining production in the country.

In addition to the above, Power Of Nature is also working with other variables of the product for the livestock area, such as food additive anti-caking agents and an internal and external deworming.
