“Wembley is a symbolic arena where the champions of Europe and South America will meet. Without this opportunity, I will retire in Turkey, in sadness in Konya, because the Nations League is different again,” Chiellini said, referring to the Turkey vs Italy match.
The duel against Turkey at that time was held after Italy certainly failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup. Italy won 3-2 in a friendly match against Turkey who also did not qualify for Qatar.
