Termalica – Miedź: Miedź defeated the leader, results, report, description, I League

Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza did not take advantage of the opportunity to jump back from rivals

The leader of Fortuna I Liga, Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza faced Miedzia Legnica and from the first minutes he achieved an optical advantage, but nothing came of it. Until the break, each team made only one shot on target, but the guests did it more precisely and after Michał Bednarski’s shot in the 35th minute, Tomasz Loska had to surrender.

After the break, the hosts pressed their rivals even more and tried to make up for the losses, but the effect was the same as in the first part of the match, i.e. one shot on target from each side and a goal for the guests’ account. This time Joan Roman has entered the scorer list seven minutes before the end of regular time.

Bruk-Bet, despite the defeat, of course remained in the lead in the league table with fifty-six points. Besides, “Elephants” has two outstanding matches to be played. GKS Tychy, who is in the second position, loses three “eyes” to them. In turn, Miedz Legnica has forty-three points after this win and advanced to the seventh place. ŁKS Łódź, who currently has the right to play in the play-offs for PKO Ekstraklasa, is only four points ahead of it.

Sandecja Nowy Sącz is still fighting for the Ekstraklasa

In another match, Sandecja Nowy Sącz took on Korona Kielce, a team that competed in the highest league in Poland in the previous season. The hosts were the dominant side from the start and needed twenty minutes to take the lead. A nice goal was scored by Michał Walski, who sent the ball under the crossbar with a strong free kick from about 25 meters.

We had to wait for more emotions until the second half, when in the 63rd minute Przemysław Szarek was punished with a second yellow, and consequently a red card. It seemed that it would make things easier for the local team, but a minute later the guests were happy to hit. Jakub Łukowski took the ball, fell into the penalty area with it and defeated Dawid Pietrzkiewicz.

The last word, however, belonged to the charges of Dariusz Dudek. Twelve minutes before the end of regular time, Dawid Błanik put pressure on the sorter of Korona and he kicked the ball out of the penalty area. There, however, was Walski, who, despite the difficult shooting position, was able to direct her to an empty goal.

Thanks to this win, Sandecja is ninth in the league table with forty points on the account and loses seven “points” to the sixth in the league of ŁKS Łódź. Korona Kielce is 12th with thirty-five points.

Stomil Olsztyn unsure of maintenance

The chance to move away from the relegation zone by twelve points was not used by Stomil Olsztyn, who played at home with Chrobry Głogów. Despite the optical advantage of the hosts, the guests dealt two blows before the break, and more specifically Mikołaj Lebedyński. The visitors’ player first scored a goal in the 11th minute, his best in the confusion in the Olsztyn penalty area, and fourteen minutes later he used a pass from the right wing of one of his colleagues.

After the break, Stomil had an even greater advantage and in the 64th minute he scored a penalty kick. Sam van Huffel approached the ball placed on the eleventh meter and decided to hit it hard, but he missed the goal and it was still 0: 2. Twelve minutes after this situation, we saw another “eleven” for the local team. This time Adrian Szczutowski was shooting and he was not mistaken, scoring a contact goal. As it turned out later, the only one for his team.

After this victory, Chrobry Głogów has thirty-nine points on his account and despite the fact that he is in the eleventh place, he still has a chance to participate in the play-offs for promotion to the Ekstraklasa. His start to sixth position is eight points, but he has one more game overdue to play. In turn, Stomil Olsztyn remained in the fourteenth position with the achievements of twenty-nine points and five queues before the end of the season has nine “points” advantage over the relegation place.
