Chiclana taxi drivers install protection screens against coronavirus
In order to guarantee the safety of taxi drivers and users, the Chiclana Teletaxi Taxi Drivers Association and the Chiclana de la Frontera City Council (Cádiz) have reached a collaboration agreement.
In this sense, the City Council of Chiclayo has contributed 3,000 euros for the installation of screens in the 34 vehicles with a taxi license that currently exist in the town.
“After requesting collaboration from this City Council on the part of the Chiclana taxi drivers, we have not hesitated to defray the costs of installing these screens in all Chiclana taxis”, indicated José Manuel Vera, municipal delegate for Traffic and Mobility.
These are transparent partitions, which separate the driver’s area from that of the users.
“From the first minute we are working to guarantee the safety and health of Chiclaneros and, of course, of our taxi drivers, who we must thank for their efforts throughout the health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic,” Vera highlighted. .
