Chicago: Three people were killed in a shooting in the city of Chicago. Many people were seriously injured in the attack. There were shootings in various parts of the city.
The attacker, Jason Nightingale, 32, was shot and killed by police. He killed a Chicago University student, a city security guard and a 20-year-old man.
The attack lasted for four hours and the motive behind the violence has not been revealed.
