Tetramethyl Almonium Hydroxide is used to melt glass in semiconductor and display factories.
As a strong basic substance, contact with the skin may cause burns and cause nervous system abnormalities.
Two contractors working on pipe replacements used this chemical spilled over their entire body.

Two other employees on site were also injured due to contact with the liquid.
In addition, three in-house emergency medical technicians who were providing first aid to seriously injured employees also suffered burns in the course of CPR.

Meanwhile, in January 2015, a nitrogen gas leak at the plant killed three people and injured four.
At the time, it was investigated that a valve was opened and nitrogen leaked during facility inspection.
LG Display said it took measures immediately after the accident, such as closing the valve and activating the exhaust to prevent secondary damage.
