Chemical Farma Paid Vaccination Excited, Erick Thohir Opens His Voice

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir emphasized that the Mutual Cooperation Vaccination program, whether carried out by business entities or individuals (independent) is carried out in accordance with the vaccination policy set by the government.

The vaccines used in this program do not use vaccines derived from vaccines that have been allocated to the government’s vaccination program. It also does not use vaccines that come from donations or grants from bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

“According to the applicable Minister of Health Regulation, all vaccines used in the Mutual Cooperation Vaccination program, both for business entities/institutions that are currently running or for individuals, do not use vaccines derived from vaccines that have been allocated for the government vaccination program,” Erick said. in a press release, quoted on Tuesday (13/7/2021).

“This vaccination also does not use vaccines that come from donations or grants from bilateral and multilateral cooperation, such as grants from the UAE and those through GAVI/COVAX,” said the founder of Mahaka Media.

In addition, Erick revealed that the procurement of vaccines for the Mutual Cooperation Vaccination did not use funds sourced from the APBN.

The funds came from corporate finance and corporate loans made by Holding BUMN Pharmaceuticals, namely PT Bio Farma with its subsidiaries, PT Kimia Farma Tbk (KAEF) and PT Indofarma Tbk (INAF).

As for the cost of the Individual Mutual Assistance Vaccination, which was originally due to take effect last Monday (12/7) and has been postponed, the vaccination price is reasonable, which will be reviewed by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).

“All recipients of the Mutual Cooperation Individual Vaccination must be covered by a business entity or institution where they work. Of course the data that will be used is data from a business entity or institution that has been registered for Mutual Cooperation Vaccination through Kadin, and validated by the Ministry of Health. in the socialization of Individual Mutual Cooperation Vaccination,” he explained.

He explained that at this time it was important to work together in this emergency PPKM condition. This is because the death rate continues to increase to a cumulative total of 66,464 people as of July 11, 2021, with a fatality rate of 2.63% – exceeding 2.16% at the global level.

Thus, Mutual Cooperation Vaccination for individuals is a support for accelerating vaccination in order to achieve communal immunity or herd immunity, and save lives.

“People now have additional options for accessing vaccinations. This is a form of mutual cooperation that the community can do in this challenging moment.”

The Mutual Cooperation Individual Vaccination is an extension of the Mutual Cooperation Vaccination program which has been regulated in the Minister of Health Regulation no. 19 of 2021 which was ratified as of July 5, 2021.

This is the second amendment to the Minister of Health Regulation No. 10 of 2021, to provide options or wider options to the community in the implementation of vaccination.

Previously, the management of Kimia Farma as the executor of Individual Mutual Assistance Vaccination stated that starting Monday (12/7/2021) the public could vaccinate individually.

The price of vaccination has been determined by the Decree of the Minister of Health Number HK.01.07/MENKES/4643/2021 concerning the Determination of the Purchase Price of the Vaccine Production of Sinopharm.

The price for one dose must be Rp. 321,660 and also the service fee is Rp. 117,910 per dose. So the estimated cost to complete two doses is around IDR 879,140.

However, on Monday morning, Kimia Farma management decided to postpone the implementation of the paid vaccination program. It is not clear how long this delay will last.

Kimia Farma Corporate Secretary Change Winarno said the delay was due to the company extending the socialization process for the program. Then, the company also needs to make arrangements for registration of prospective vaccination participants.

“We apologize because the Individual Mutual Assistance Vaccination schedule, which originally started on Monday, July 12, 2021, will be postponed until further notice,” said Change to CNBC Indonesia, Monday (12/7).

“The amount of interest and the many questions that came in made management decide to extend the socialization period for Individual Mutual Assistance Vaccination and arrangements for registration of prospective participants,” he explained.

The vaccine that will be used in the Mutual Assistance Vaccination program is Sinopharm. The use of this type of vaccine is in accordance with the government’s decision on the type of vaccine used for mutual cooperation vaccination.
