The dark area, shaped like two eyes and a smiling mouth, is the coronal hole of the sun. A crown hole refers to a portion of the sun’s ultraviolet or X-ray image that is observed darker than the surrounding environment. . It belongs to the outer layer of the sun and is the region where the solar wind blows into space.
The solar wind causes disturbances in the earth’s magnetic field. It is considered the main cause of the anomalous functioning of artificial satellites. NASA is running the “Solar Dynamic Observatory” program to identify and respond to these effects in advance. In February 2010, related satellites were launched as a program to observe the sun to understand changes in the solar wind.
This corona hole was captured on the 26th. Experts predict that a geomagnetic storm could hit the Earth’s magnetic field in a matter of days.
