The long-standing managing director of the Haus & Grund owners’ association in Essen, Werner Weskamp, ​​will retire at the end of the year. The lawyer worked for the association, which represents the interests of private landlords, for 34 years. His successor will be Andreas Noje on January 1, 2023, who currently heads the association Mülheim Haus & Grund. The 50-year-old is a lawyer and lives in Essen.

Weskamp also began his career at Haus & Grund in Mülheim in 1988. After a short time, the Essen native took over the management of the local club. In 2007 he moved to Essen in the same position and also took over the management of the regional association Haus & Grund Ruhr.

The president of the Essen association, Volker Behr, paid tribute to Weskamp’s work. He was a sought-after advisor on all matters to private property owners. More recently, the association has been primarily concerned with property tax reform. According to Behr, his expert knowledge is also appreciated at Haus & Grund Germany in Berlin, where Weskamp was responsible as chairman of the committee for the real estate industry and housing policy.
