Celebrity camera maker to fire employees over Intel problems

Reportedthat Nikon ended the second fiscal quarter with an operating loss of $ 251 million. Now the company is even ready to stop production of digital cameras in Japan and move it to Thailand. Nikon is also forced to cut staff. The company will lay off approximately two thousand people.

In addition to Intel’s problems, Nikon has been hit by a pandemic that has caused people to travel less and no longer need new cameras to capture landmarks.

The media notes that Intel no longer needs the same volumes of lithographic equipment because it decided to increase the share of orders for contractors.
