The handover will take place on Saturday 4 January in the center of the village.
At that time, the flame will cross the Swiss border on skis to reach the neighboring Joux valley where the YOG cross-country skiing events will take place.
The departure will be at 1 p.m. at the foot of the Orbe aux Rousses slopes to reach Bois d’Amont then the Swiss border at Carroz customs.
This route will be done by Vincent Defrasne, and Vincent Gauthier-Manuel ; respectively biathlon and paralympic alpine ski champions.
They will be accompanied by Quentin Fillon-Maillet who will be the last minute guest: in the middle of the world cup season, the biathlete grandvallier managed to free himself to participate in this historic meeting.
The three athletes are expected around 2:15 p.m. in Bois d´Amont where they will meet Thierry Rey, the 1980 Olympic judo champion, who will light a cauldron.

Youth Olympic Games will take place from January 9 to 22 in Lausanne and Prémanon.
