Caring for the Sustainable Environment, Acer Launches Aspire Vero Green PC Laptop from Recycled Plastic

MAKASSAR, UPEKS.co.id – Acer responds to global concerns about environmental issues by launching the Acer Aspire Vero laptop, a green PC made from recycled plastic materials that have been used by consumers, or post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic.

The development of this product is part of Acer’s mission of sustainability in all its operations.

Most of the components of the Acer Aspire Vero laptop are made of environmentally friendly materials. On the chassis, Acer uses 30 percent PCR plastic, while on the keyboard there is 50 percent, PCR plastic elements that save about 21 percent of environmental emissions from using pure plastic.

It doesn’t stop there, 99 percent of the screen panels are made of recyclable panels.

The integration of PCR plastic materials on the Acer Aspire Vero laptop is carried out thoroughly so that it supports the integrity of the design. The “eco-design” of this laptop can be seen from the unique position of the R and E buttons which are positioned opposite to remind users of the recycling process with trendy yellow accents.

The honeycomb structure on the chassis provides a stronger frame and a paint-free textured surface finish makes the surface extremely soft with a unique yellow accent created from the recycling process and signifies a call to reduce pollution.

Acer Indonesia’s Head of Marketing, Fransisca Maya, said that apart from materials, the sustainability mission is realized in a special feature of the VeroSense software that can extend battery life and save electricity usage.

“Packed in a box made of recycled paper, the Acer Aspire Vero is a laptop with the most recycled elements in its class,” he concluded.

Along with the launch of the Acer Aspire Vero, he continued, Acer started the Green Deeds program, which is an invitation to live green through the first social media in Indonesia.

The presence of the Acer Aspire Vero eco-friendly laptop is a form of Acer’s commitment to sustainability in product operations and development.
