Car rolls backwards into the Weser and sets – Hanover

This photo shoot went completely wrong …

When an 18-year-old wanted to take pictures of his car in Schweringen (Lower Saxony), the Mercedes C-Class rolled backwards into the Weser and went under.

The young man had apparently not applied the handbrake, the police said on Monday morning. The youngster was therefore unable to stop his car when it rolled down a sloping road into the river on Sunday evening. For the time being, emergency personnel could not recover the car.

The search was stopped around 11 p.m. and is scheduled to continue on Monday morning.

The property damage is estimated by a police spokesman to be 8,000 euros. It now had to be examined whether the car had contaminated the Weser in the accident.
