Car retrieved from flooded underpass at Lørenskog station

Earlier in the evening, two children were taken out of the car that was stuck in the water. By 7.40 pm, the parents had also gotten out of the car, says operations manager Terje Marstad in the Eastern police district to NTB.

– The parents are also out of the water. The car probably got water where it should not have it, and was therefore pulled out of the underpass after the engine stopped, Marstad says.

The fire brigade and contractor are on site to clean up some drains, but the underpass on national road 163 Lørenskogveien and the roundabout Marcus Thranes vei / Lørenskogveien will be closed until Monday morning.

The East 110 exchange encourages people parked in the area to remove their cars.

– The car park below the station is filled with water. We encourage road users who are still parked on this to remove the vehicle, says duty officer Lasse Hoff to Romerikes Blad.

At Lomma in Lommedalen in Bærum, where the Lommedalselva is about to cross its banks, several pictures are also partly under water.

– Skollerudveien will be closed for crossing the river, the Oslo police district writes on Twitter.

They state that car salvage has been ordered.

The police reported the incident just after 6 pm on Sunday night.
