Foreign scientists reported that taking aspirin, even in minimal doses, is able to provoke the active development of oncology in people over 65 years old. About it reports edition “Medicine and Science” with reference to the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, where the scientific work was published.
Researchers studied data from 16.7 people in Australia and 2.4 thousand Americans. The participants in the experiment were divided into 2 groups, one of which took aspirin at a dosage of 100 mg for 4 years and 7 months. The control group did not take medicine. At the start of the study, each of the volunteers was healthy.
At the end of the scientific work, 981 cases of the development of malignant cells were recorded among the participants who took aspirin. In the second group, the number of such people was slightly less – 952 patients. Experts also drew a parallel between the use of the drug and the development of cancer metastases.
