Canadian Prime Minister’s Pre-Election Event Stones – Abroad – News

The incident took place in the Ontario province of Landon when Trudo took a bus after the event. A man in the crowd threw stones at him, hitting the prime minister, his guards and journalists. None of them were injured.

Trudo announced early elections in August on September 20, hoping they would secure voter support for the government’s anti-Covid-19 policy.

Trudo, who represents the Liberals, currently runs a minority government that depends on the parliamentary support of other parties, and in recent months the prime minister has consistently complained about the obstruction of the opposition.

Trudo’s main rivals in the election – Conservative leader Erin O’Tool and New Democratic Party leader Jagmith Singh – condemned the incident in Landon.

Trudo is currently on an equal footing with O’Tool in opinion polls. The prime minister has repeatedly faced angry protesters, whom he has called anti-trailer crowds dissatisfied with his policies in the fight against Covid-19.

Last week, Trudo was forced to cancel the measure for security reasons.

During the pre-election campaign, Trudo said a small section of the public in Canada was angry, did not believe in science and expressed their anger at racist attacks and hatred of women. But they do not represent the vast majority of Canadians, and Canadians will not allow them to dictate how Canada can get out of a pandemic, Trudo said.
