Campaign site Trump temporarily ‘seized’ by unknown hackers | NOW

The website of the election campaign of US President Donald Trump was temporarily hacked on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday. The webpage indicated that the site had been ‘seized’ and the hackers claimed to have access to Trump’s personal conversations with his family and associates.

For some time, the website showed the hackers’ message, stating that “the world was fed up with the fake news Trump spreads daily.” They did not clarify exactly what they mean.

The page was temporarily taken offline and has now returned to its original state. Trump’s campaign team reports that authorities are investigating the incident.

On the site, the hackers believed they had internal and secret conversations between Trump, his family and his associates. However, they gave no evidence for this. The hackers added that if visitors to the site paid for cryptocurrency, they could buy the conversations.

Trump’s campaign team argues that no sensitive data could get into the hands of the hackers because such data is not stored on the website.
