Campaign «Santa Lucia by taxi»
The City Council of Santa Lucía (Las Palmas) has launched the “Santa Lucía by taxi” campaign to support the sector, to promote it as a closer, more immediate and more present mode of transport.
With this campaign, which will be broadcast on radio and television, the City Council wants to promote the use of public transport as a safe transport, since the City Council is also helping in the disinfection of vehicles.
Likewise, the Santa Lucía City Council has distributed masks to professionals in the sector.
The Councilor for Transport and Mobility, Nieves García, stressed that the campaign wants to “bring the taxi closer to the public so that they use it as an alternative to close and safe public transport.”
In the municipality of Santa Lucía there are 59 taxi licenses, 8 with a service adapted to people with reduced mobility.
